Obstacles to economic development of Pakistan

                                                There are various obstacles to economic development of developing countries like Pakistan. Which are briefly discussed as under  

1.     Political instability:

Political stability is vital for economic growth and development of a country but in Pakistan there is political instability which is as obstacle in the way of economic growth and development of Pakistan.

2.     Corruption:

Is another serious barrier in the way of economic growth and development of Pakistan. Due to corruption the natural, human and financial resources are wasted.

3.     Defective education:

Modern and advanced education is crucial for economic growth and development but the educational system of Pakistan is defective which is a hurdle is the way of economic growth and development.

4.       Lack of investment:

Lack of interment in various sectors of the economy is another notable obstacle in the way of economic growth and development of Pakistan. Because a right amount of investment is necessary for the economic development.

5.     High population growth rate:

Another barrier in the way of economic growth and development of developing countries like Pakistan is high population growth rate. In developing countries population growth rate is about 2% while in advanced countries it is less than 0.8%.

6.     Deficiency of infrastructure facilities:

Inadequate infrastructure facilities like roads, railway, banking and a power house etc. is a key obstacle in the way of economic growth and development of developing nations like Pakistan.

7.      Demonstration effect:

Demonstration effect is also a barrier for economic growth and development of developing countries like Pakistan.

8.     Use of old technology:

Developing countries of the world like Pakistan use old technologies of production due to which production remains low and the resources are wasted which is a barrier for economic growth and development.

9.     Poor performance of agriculture and industrial sector:

Poor performance of agriculture and industrial sector is a major obstacle in the way of economic growth and development of less developed countries like Pakistan. In agriculture and industrial sector outdated technologies of production poorly.

10.             Low quality of human resources:

High quality of human resources like proper education, skill and training is vital for economic growth and development but human resources of developing countries like are of low quality which is a barrier for economic development.

11.                Deficiency of capital:

In developing countries of the world like Pakistan there id deficiency of capital which is not allowing then to economic and development.
